The list your kit has been waiting for.
Stedfast tracks every kit and every item — what’s in it, where it lives, when it expires, when it needs to be tested. Your whole household — both adults, kids, and extended family — sees the same picture. So in an emergency, anyone who reaches a kit first can actually use it.
Free with the app. No account required. Sync + sharing is a one-time unlock.
Our privacy stance
We can’t see your data. That’s on purpose.
Stedfast is local-first. Your kits, items, photos, and history live on your phone first. The app works completely without an account — no signups, no tracking, no pixels. When you opt in to Sync, your data goes to a server we operate, but the product’s built so we don’t need to look at it.
No analytics, no SDKs
No Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Crashlytics. Zero third-party trackers in the iOS app and zero on this website. The only thing we log is server-side request metadata, scrubbed of PII.
Local-first by default
Open the app, start tracking — no account needed. Everything works offline. If you never sign up, your data never touches our servers, period.
Households are private
Sharing is opt-in per kit. Your household’s data isn’t federated, sold, or used to train anything. We don’t share with third parties, full stop.
You can leave anytime
CSV and PDF export are first-class features. Take your inventory with you whenever you want. If you delete your account, your server-side data goes too.
Minimum data
We need an email if you make an account. That’s it. No phone numbers, no real names required, no ID verification.
One-time payment
Stedfast Sync is a $9.99 one-time IAP. We have no reason to invent engagement metrics or push you to scroll. The product is the product.
The features, the ones that matter.
Built around how preparedness actually works in a household — not how an app designer thinks it should.
Kits, bins, and shelving
Get-home, EDC, vehicle, cache, first aid — even a wall of bins with NFC tags on each one. Tap any tag and your phone opens straight to that container.
Rotation that actually happens
Every item has an expiration, rotation date, or test interval — set or auto-derived from the category default. Local notifications nudge you before things slip.
Researched defaults
Curated catalog of preparedness items with shelf life and test intervals already filled in, plus DIY templates for ammo, fuel, stored water, and home canning.
The whole family, on the same page
Both adults edit. Kids and extended family get a read-only "viewer" role — safe to hand a kid a phone in a panic. Tap an NFC tag and the kit opens straight up.
Share a kit with another household
Want your brother to know where your freeze-dried food is? Share just that kit. He shares his beach-house first-aid kit back. Two households, one shared shelf.
CSV + PDF export
Your data is portable. Export any kit or your entire inventory at any time. If you ever stop using Stedfast, you don’t leave with empty hands.
Offline by design
Full read/write without a network. Edits queue and sync when you’re back online. The phone in your hand is the source of truth.
NFC the way it should work
Bind a kit to an NFC tag in one tap. Write a universal link or a direct app link. Tag a 24-bin shelving unit and every bin knows what’s in it.
Emergency mode
Big buttons, single-tap to a kit, pooled-by-category view, "needs attention" filter. Designed for a panicked moment, not a quiet planning session.
Scheduled drill reminders
Pick a cadence per drill type — weekly, monthly, quarterly. Stedfast cycles through your eligible kits so the same one isn’t always the test subject. Sync the cadence across your household, or keep it private.
Smarter notifications, not louder
Items expiring on the same day collapse into one "3 items need attention" ping instead of three. Per-category lead times — medical 60 days, batteries 30, food 14 — match how hard each thing is to source when you need it.
AirDrop a kit to a friend
Share any kit as a .stedfast-kit file via AirDrop, Messages, or Mail. They tap, it imports. Send an updated version weeks later and their app recognizes it as the same kit — Replace or keep both, their call. Local-only, no server in the loop.
A list is just a guess until you’ve practiced.
Inventory drift is real. Drills are a no-pressure way to confirm your kit is where you think, full of what you think, and reachable when you need it. Run them quarterly, monthly, whenever. No streaks, no scores — just check-ins.
Tap-to-Find
App says find your bug-out bag. Timer starts. NFC scan on the kit stops the clock. Tells you how reachable your stuff actually is, not how reachable you remember it being.
Spot-Check
Three random items from a kit. Are they still where you think? Still in date? Surfaces drift before it matters — the tourniquet someone borrowed, the bars that expired in March.
Scenario
A random emergency lands on your screen — earthquake at 3 a.m., wildfire evac, power out for a week. You have a time budget. Self-rate what you grabbed. Gap report tells you what's missing.
Scenarios rotate — earthquake, house fire, extended outage, wildfire evac, hurricane shelter, winter heat-loss, vehicle breakdown, medical emergency, shelter-in-place, flash flood. Some get up-weighted by season (more wildfire in August, more winter storm in February). Drill history stays on your phone unless you have Stedfast Sync.
Pay once, only when you want sharing.
Stedfast is free with the app. Everything that lives on your phone — kits, bins, items, NFC tags, expiration tracking, notifications, exports — works without an account. Pay once for Stedfast Sync when you want us to hold your data too.
Free with the app
Unlimited local kits, unlimited items, NFC tags, shelving units, expiration tracking, local notifications, CSV + PDF export. Everything stays on your phone.
$0
No account. No tracking. No catch.
Stedfast Sync
Cloud backup so you can recover after a phone loss. Share kits with your household (kid gets viewer access, co-parent gets edit). Share specific kits with another household — your brother sees your freeze-dried food, you see his beach-house first aid kit. Same kits on every device you sign in on.
$9.99
One-time. No subscription. Shareable across Apple Family.
Create your accountYou’re not paying for features — they’re all in the app. You’re paying for the responsibility of holding your data. Server uptime, encrypted storage, the work to keep it all reliable. The free tier is a fully usable product, not a trial. Buy Sync if and when you want to share.
Already have Sync? There’s a small “buy us a beer” tip in the app’s account menu for anyone who wants to chip in. Strictly optional, no effect on anything.
